A D&D birthday card

 This card is kind of neat. I used the plastic part from a glue tape roll and put a dice in that. I glued it to a piece of cardstock and then put a black ring around it to give it a finished look. The concept of the dice is that my son rolls it and then looks up the dice roll on the list that is a pull out from the side.

I think lots of us get many of these plastic bubbles from various goods. What I did is to scan the plastic bubble and then pixel traced it in Make-The-Cut (MTC). It will have an inner shape and the outer shape. The inner shape gets cut out of the middle of the card. The inner and outer shape get cut out of the contrasting colour.

For the slide out part, I attached a piece of ribbon to the back of the pull out and then fed it through the left of the pocket. I did this because I didn't want the insert to come out all the way.

I made this very awesome card for my husband for his birthday. The front of the card looks like this:  For those of you who are not pokemon-literate, this is an Onix. So the front says "Have an Onix-pected birthday". The font is pocket monk (if you need to change the words). The key to the pokemon alphabet is that the vowels are small letters and are on tope of the letters around them. So the colours of the letters are: yellow (255,203,0), dark blue (0,58,146), and light blue (129,200,254). Fall themed wedding favour bags and Josephine tassel

These were quite fun to put together. As usual I didn't take a picture of the final project but what I really wanted to show you today is how to make the tassel. In order to make the tassel, you are going to start with 16 lengths of whatever string you are using. If you want a thicker tassel, use more lengths. Here I used kitchen twine. So the length of each piece of twine should be length of twine= (the length you want for the tassel)*2 + about 5" for the knot.  We are going to be following this knot type (it is called the Josephine knot): So here is what it looks like when you are doing it with a group of strings as opposed to just one.
