Thanksgiving blessing bag

We gave away bags filled with yummies at a Thanksgiving dinner we had at our church. I made these tags to go with them:


We made 40 of the bags and 60 people showed up to share in the feast. And it was like the fish and the loaves. We expected 40/50 and enough food for 80 people showed up and we were able to feed another group the next day.

Pokemon Go Birthday Card

I made this very awesome card for my husband for his birthday. The front of the card looks like this:  For those of you who are not pokemon-literate, this is an Onix. So the front says "Have an Onix-pected birthday". The font is pocket monk (if you need to change the words). The key to the pokemon alphabet is that the vowels are small letters and are on tope of the letters around them. So the colours of the letters are: yellow (255,203,0), dark blue (0,58,146), and light blue (129,200,254). Outline each of the yellow letters individually in the dark blue and then make the dark blue outline around the vowels go above the yellow of the letters around it. This is a fun gift card holder with a starbucks front. The font is Babes in Toyland. Fall themed wedding favour bags and Josephine tassel

These were quite fun to put together. As usual I didn't take a picture of the final project but what I really wanted to show you today is how to make the tassel. In order to make the tassel, you are going to start with 16 lengths of whatever string you are using. If you want a thicker tassel, use more lengths. Here I used kitchen twine. So the length of each piece of twine should be length of twine= (the length you want for the tassel)*2 + about 5" for the knot.  We are going to be following this knot type (it is called the Josephine knot): So here is what it looks like when you are doing it with a group of strings as opposed to just one.
