<br />
What do you need:<br />
<ol>
<li>Masking tape (3/4")</li>
<li>Piece of letter sized acetate (or letter sized glossy photo paper)</li>
<li>Printer <b>Check with the manufacturer to see which kind of acetate you can send through your printer</b></li>
</ol>
The steps are fairly easy. If you are not a video watcher just follow these steps:<br />
<br />
<ol>
<li>Print one of the washi tape pdfs <a href="https://www.dropbox.com/s/ekpnwpxp7ueir64/washi_Page1.pdf?dl=0">Washi Tape1</a> <span id="goog_1931249791"></span><a href="https://www.blogger.com/"></a><span id="goog_1931249792"></span><a href="https://www.dropbox.com/s/qtbodsw5kw131kk/washi_Page2.pdf?dl=0">Washi Tape2</a></li>
<li>Somehow tack it to the piece of acetate. You should be able to see the coloured strips through the acetate.</li>
<li>Put the masking tape on the acetate on top of he coloured strips. Line it up as best you can.</li>
<li>Remove the paper from the back of the acetate and remove the tacking tape.</li>
<li>Cut the masking tape so that it doesn't go beyond the edges of the acetate.</li>
<li>Burnish the top and bottom edges of the acetate so that the masking tape doesn't curl up.</li>
<li>Run it through the printer so that the printer prints on top of the masking tape.</li>
<li>Pull the masking tape off and roll it onto a clean straw (the thick ones from fast food places are best.</li>
<li>Use them in projects.</li>
</ol>
<br />
<br />

Here is the video here:<br />
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xg1x7rdkHY0<br />
<br />
Here is my video. I used my cuttlebug to cut the circles just because I got a new die cut for it that does circles. The pack of 8 was around $2 USD from Aliexpress.com .<br />
<br />
So if I was going to do this video again, I would make the slits in the felt a whole lot shallower. and I probably wouldn't cut the felt to be such a wide strip. It would probably be fine being 2.75" wide (and then folded in two) and 11" (or 12") long. That would mean that you could get 3 per piece of felt.<br />

This card is kind of neat. I used the plastic part from a glue tape roll and put a dice in that. I glued it to a piece of cardstock and then put a black ring around it to give it a finished look. The concept of the dice is that my son rolls it and then looks up the dice roll on the list that is a pull out from the side.<br />
<br />
I think lots of us get many of these plastic bubbles from various goods. What I did is to scan the plastic bubble and then pixel traced it in Make-The-Cut (MTC). It will have an inner shape and the outer shape. The inner shape gets cut out of the middle of the card. The inner and outer shape get cut out of the contrasting colour.<br />
<br />
For the slide out part, I attached a piece of ribbon to the back of the pull out and then fed it through the left of the pocket. I did this because I didn't want the insert to come out all the way.<br />
<br />

I made these tags to go with them:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYLa1rDNo-5YIm65eRn-oqwJMk7XpsIbWdu5E0fT9OdjAvInHk4A4O5dW2BKWY_egR64ib6SrCwtnRo8tAAnPhwcgbYhU0L7MZ2JYMPmmTD3wWOSh4pmJQfQay8hOXvBNW5v19m-4OaDM/s1600/thanksgiving_blessing_bags.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYLa1rDNo-5YIm65eRn-oqwJMk7XpsIbWdu5E0fT9OdjAvInHk4A4O5dW2BKWY_egR64ib6SrCwtnRo8tAAnPhwcgbYhU0L7MZ2JYMPmmTD3wWOSh4pmJQfQay8hOXvBNW5v19m-4OaDM/s320/thanksgiving_blessing_bags.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
We made 40 of the bags and 60 people showed up to share in the feast. And it was like the fish and the loaves. We expected 40/50 and enough food for 80 people showed up and we were able to feed another group the next day.<br />

</div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">
<br /></div>
<br />
You will need:<br />
<ul>
<li>Paper (pretty paper is essential)</li>
<li>digital cutter (I have a zing but anything that takes an SVG file is great)</li>
<li>laminator ( I am using a hot laminator which makes laminating just part of the project at a time easier)</li>
<li>baby buttons and applicator (these are the snaps that you put on baby diapers) </li>
<li>2 tiny brads </li>
</ul>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Lately I have been trying to memorize verses of scripture on my walks and I am making a box for all the ones I have memorized so that I can keep track and keep them fresh. I am going to resurrect a file from last year and see if I can remember how to put it together.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_9AimBy2M3HhBk7rZctc6atlnba3Tyhlv1ghnXEN2uUWHIYC-V7ZDFpHbcLxQo7Bq7hbX9RJuDtGbB6_2QhIEu5eiT9b0R3nn69KySSHmbNf1lDswb4QjKHPOEjNv00DEfwvljqWZgus/s1600/2015-11-09+14.49.34.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_9AimBy2M3HhBk7rZctc6atlnba3Tyhlv1ghnXEN2uUWHIYC-V7ZDFpHbcLxQo7Bq7hbX9RJuDtGbB6_2QhIEu5eiT9b0R3nn69KySSHmbNf1lDswb4QjKHPOEjNv00DEfwvljqWZgus/s320/2015-11-09+14.49.34.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I made this version last year for a group of ladies in an AA group. The front of the tiny index cards had a motivational saying that came from different AA pinterest boards and then the back had a verse from the bible that supported it or was in a similar vein. I included the files for these below (as well just in case you can use them).<br />
<br />
So I wanted to pick some awesome paper. But the truth of the matter is that I am not very good at co-ordinating prints and plain, or really any two papers. So I am going to go into one of my scrapbooking value pads that I got at michaels and see if I can pick two papers that will look nice together. Well that didn't go well. So maybe I will see something I like on pinterest and translate it with the papers I have available. Well the first picture I fell in love with on pinterest was this one:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/f4/6e/e1/f46ee186b8a3917db89b7de3511cb703.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Stamping with Loll: The ornament above is cut from an acetate sheet (you could also use acetate packaging from your craft supplies). Alcohol inks work great on acetate. Even though the tip of the alcohol inks is really small, I found that it flowed too quickly and was always getting more than I needed. So I started by adding just two drops of AIs. Then to get some more colours, but with less ink, I squirted a few drops onto my parchment paper, and picked up the colour with my fingers (with: " border="0" class="pinImage rounded" data-load-state="pending" data-src="https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/f4/6e/e1/f46ee186b8a3917db89b7de3511cb703.jpg" height="200" src="https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/f4/6e/e1/f46ee186b8a3917db89b7de3511cb703.jpg" width="160" /></a></div>
<br />
I love the royal blue watercolour. I have been liking a lot of watercolors lately and I think I will continue. So off I go to make watercolour designs in adobe elements. A few years ago I bought a design collection set. and it includes a bunch of watercolour washes/textures. I am going to bring one into Adobe elements and darken it up like the picture above and then I am going to put a lace trim on it. Here is the wash I am starting with:<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQBald-IxgW_j0xzEdczCBnIHXfjAYoU-QLi31sVXe_5HOaJoQjkuDt5i6XOkoGHEEYMlcPR6CWU5T9BzCq6KJz9Rpv_jy0f2tfAZu17AZx__iFmBCsn4mNQT2CnQeGTS_Uw3yFePscso/s1600/watercolor-washes-textures-.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQBald-IxgW_j0xzEdczCBnIHXfjAYoU-QLi31sVXe_5HOaJoQjkuDt5i6XOkoGHEEYMlcPR6CWU5T9BzCq6KJz9Rpv_jy0f2tfAZu17AZx__iFmBCsn4mNQT2CnQeGTS_Uw3yFePscso/s320/watercolor-washes-textures-.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I opened it in Adobe Elements (I have version 6) then I go under the Enhance menu, and choose adjust color and then adjust Hue Saturation (Enhance > Adjust Color > Adjust Hue Saturation). I turned up Saturation all the way to +95 and then turned down lightness to -46 and I got something I liked:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBJH6FeprF6WhYGfQeLYWTNpbdwQ5k9wRb_HADpXrkrsys9ciwolpjITtC0HkhoztTQa7Z7ozZZKYLpxEbe65PWjVeG_Asgh6S6MDEvF3MVp9S_FqLpe18rEw9gTthmaJn1h60MCCykFU/s1600/watercolour1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBJH6FeprF6WhYGfQeLYWTNpbdwQ5k9wRb_HADpXrkrsys9ciwolpjITtC0HkhoztTQa7Z7ozZZKYLpxEbe65PWjVeG_Asgh6S6MDEvF3MVp9S_FqLpe18rEw9gTthmaJn1h60MCCykFU/s320/watercolour1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Now I needed to, I could fix the brownish mark in the lower bottom corner by selecting it and then painting it white. But I don't think I need that part of the picture as I am just going to print this and then cut my box out of it. (The file for the cut is below). Then I have three pieces that look go together like this:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2K7pY-FKoNw2vjJ4dAc81pNDqVjofURwqyCHHTAHn0ZstRBDSvwbu-9quDpDxZjSDlnyKLnwOudGf7D68uv4cszqibXs-Dfns2x9jp_Sb_0JaGRYg4A63u1NCJQnKjwyyyg9XBYBATHk/s1600/2016-10-09+13.51.17+%2528Mobile%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2K7pY-FKoNw2vjJ4dAc81pNDqVjofURwqyCHHTAHn0ZstRBDSvwbu-9quDpDxZjSDlnyKLnwOudGf7D68uv4cszqibXs-Dfns2x9jp_Sb_0JaGRYg4A63u1NCJQnKjwyyyg9XBYBATHk/s320/2016-10-09+13.51.17+%2528Mobile%2529.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
<br />
Tack down the two trim pieces with a glue runenr and then put the laminator pouch that you cut around it and send it through the laminator. You don't want the trim pieces that stick out from the main box to be laminated. You may need to laminate multiple times. I bought my pouches from china and a crazy cheap price but I have to laminate more than once to get a really solid stick.<br />
<br />
Now we need to add the baby snaps. The way that baby snaps work is that there are 4 pieces in a normal snap. Two of the tack like pieces and one doughnut piece and one backing piece. Here is a pic of these pieces:<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So there are tiny holes punched on the top and bottom of the verse box. We are going to put a tack like piece through (from the front of the box) on the rounded end. Like this:</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqjFb-DwRfmIatDyOV56tvcBLaGvO9bhTTXQLCjkIcQt_zh7GqeTvge44OcKJQw5pSC21mcC-7OnbR2ojeuxNruTh4VZLoxIoi_UvejXftWeDPfUBncVSJNOHL6Ei36dPYj5va6HNDKiY/s1600/2016-10-09+14.03.03+%2528Mobile%2529+%25282%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqjFb-DwRfmIatDyOV56tvcBLaGvO9bhTTXQLCjkIcQt_zh7GqeTvge44OcKJQw5pSC21mcC-7OnbR2ojeuxNruTh4VZLoxIoi_UvejXftWeDPfUBncVSJNOHL6Ei36dPYj5va6HNDKiY/s320/2016-10-09+14.03.03+%2528Mobile%2529+%25282%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAK4F8Xiip2KcpjzWnBbDZ76j3sR3DYlQkG9fWmYMsSQ5ie-NyKADteW1bcPerZBbwCcsN90eLmXqhb2o1nav8A_MBlEV6Ol4FfDnX2LCktJXTBsFdGzN5SSrIwjqhyAq05yaU9dLMras/s1600/baby_snap_back.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAK4F8Xiip2KcpjzWnBbDZ76j3sR3DYlQkG9fWmYMsSQ5ie-NyKADteW1bcPerZBbwCcsN90eLmXqhb2o1nav8A_MBlEV6Ol4FfDnX2LCktJXTBsFdGzN5SSrIwjqhyAq05yaU9dLMras/s200/baby_snap_back.jpg" width="171" /></a> <br />
<br />
And then on the back of that tack you slide the backing piece on and then put it in the snap pliers and you have the first half of the snap completed.<br />
<br />
Then on the square end of the box we are going to put the other half of the snaps. The tack-like piece punches through the tiny hole from the back and then the doughnut like piece goes on the side with the heart border. Put it in the pliers and squeeze. Snap it to the top to ensure that it snaps closed. Occasionally (1 in 150 snaps I have done) you will not get a good snap and have to replace part.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggmeyEbionoL4DI2nvAAzK1uMCj8NklClARK7JJdyG6oxid1fuNma4t8B-8Wxunj5YslYr_eMw9uHkQd4VvPXIGmOPPj2bQCjIBTZq2NaU_iRpVJJCb2klnWWKYgFYSGzMYlBJu2RtjeU/s1600/2016-10-09+14.07.13+%2528Mobile%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggmeyEbionoL4DI2nvAAzK1uMCj8NklClARK7JJdyG6oxid1fuNma4t8B-8Wxunj5YslYr_eMw9uHkQd4VvPXIGmOPPj2bQCjIBTZq2NaU_iRpVJJCb2klnWWKYgFYSGzMYlBJu2RtjeU/s320/2016-10-09+14.07.13+%2528Mobile%2529.jpg" width="180" /></a><br />
<br />
Now this next part is a bit tricky. We are going to fold up the accordion fold on the box and it is going to look kind of like this.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5pBDRoFUPIeK29jyd_sS3Ong3TUBlwVLcLoHhuqdodYQOjDT39aKCYl14QYSjLGhTOY0R-uKlEOAmGDmmQtDHIR2bcK9n851GXxTcqt1YfuHWR9bURkCUlO-ifHYZJ-CdOX5UiE7FqfE/s1600/2016-10-09+01.48.25.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5pBDRoFUPIeK29jyd_sS3Ong3TUBlwVLcLoHhuqdodYQOjDT39aKCYl14QYSjLGhTOY0R-uKlEOAmGDmmQtDHIR2bcK9n851GXxTcqt1YfuHWR9bURkCUlO-ifHYZJ-CdOX5UiE7FqfE/s320/2016-10-09+01.48.25.jpg" width="320" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQxSKKOSfyjBkAMdKHxYPOPA_idAVsStsJjSbW_fXB67C-IrsS-cAKC8znsZcAOogA4QTFpZ0hCXateKNzwvgQV5hN1YMQJGNxc_uEH-3sX_ppg582nZB5A_kQhh5KHpIy6FIrYV7fJao/s1600/2016-10-09+14.09.11.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQxSKKOSfyjBkAMdKHxYPOPA_idAVsStsJjSbW_fXB67C-IrsS-cAKC8znsZcAOogA4QTFpZ0hCXateKNzwvgQV5hN1YMQJGNxc_uEH-3sX_ppg582nZB5A_kQhh5KHpIy6FIrYV7fJao/s320/2016-10-09+14.09.11.jpg" width="180" /></a><br />
<br />
Now the final part is to use a couple tiny brads to secure the side closures. These are the brads I am choosing. Aren't they so darn cute?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsbPiUM1R7vjHxZ5jU0VWrYpdBvAdOq5ss7Mw2W7XxM3-KIgkYcnGQe1lpuT6UePsew7g4dTN2N0JPrS0OKSZgGJRQ8BTH_coVOSUjtCGUhWHAPIaRyPv7XPA5ig_K6HTKCXb7wxr_Iq0/s1600/button_brad.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsbPiUM1R7vjHxZ5jU0VWrYpdBvAdOq5ss7Mw2W7XxM3-KIgkYcnGQe1lpuT6UePsew7g4dTN2N0JPrS0OKSZgGJRQ8BTH_coVOSUjtCGUhWHAPIaRyPv7XPA5ig_K6HTKCXb7wxr_Iq0/s200/button_brad.jpg" width="189" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
From the front of the front of the box, the tabs on your right are done first. You will connect the tab from the back to the tab from the front with the brad. I add a piece of two sided tape as well to make the brad placement a little easier.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxn0M8X1ck4HrG-2KfV0h24DXowOcPq-MmNU7EppaeWcOGq2rdRkLM8I43TUJ0p-Rs_hme8-ss2xdqSokyVcNkHyYLs7I7757erNn9cIQmY67_yvGjr5FVLrmgMLM381an_WuX0rkBJO0/s1600/2016-10-09+14.09.45+%2528Mobile%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxn0M8X1ck4HrG-2KfV0h24DXowOcPq-MmNU7EppaeWcOGq2rdRkLM8I43TUJ0p-Rs_hme8-ss2xdqSokyVcNkHyYLs7I7757erNn9cIQmY67_yvGjr5FVLrmgMLM381an_WuX0rkBJO0/s320/2016-10-09+14.09.45+%2528Mobile%2529.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Then the tabs on the left will have three tabs to connect. there will be two tabs from the back and one from the front. I sandwich the tab connected to the rectangle between the tab from the back and the tab from the front. :<br />
<br />

<br />
I have a friend who was asking for a commercial oven for her birthday. Umm, I love you my dear, but my budget doesn't stretch that far. So I made her this and put a Starbucks gift card in it for her *addiction.<br />
<br />
I think to put the box together is fairly simple. Here is a diagram of where you glue. The front of the oven tucks into the rest of the box.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiNjFYEppdLzfFwSZsEQyJB00nM6VpxyT6DL58YlSZcTSHMjeYb_1eq3ZCBmoqPwwlkbwWKRHnloFzKthn9C1DVHS_vhaa_E4CrWPiQDJ_xF6Bo53Tw0LymOGOP8-Vw5FZhkCn1nW7fnc/s1600/assembly_instructions.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiNjFYEppdLzfFwSZsEQyJB00nM6VpxyT6DL58YlSZcTSHMjeYb_1eq3ZCBmoqPwwlkbwWKRHnloFzKthn9C1DVHS_vhaa_E4CrWPiQDJ_xF6Bo53Tw0LymOGOP8-Vw5FZhkCn1nW7fnc/s320/assembly_instructions.png" width="317" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The control panel is attached by gluing the tiny tab to the top of the
stove and then gluing the larger tab on the back of the oven.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
If you want you could also make a muffin holder, but I think with the standard sized muffins you would have to make the oven deeper to fit the cupcake in.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwaz6G1Oghlops5r4gbqwu_BNlvNf1u6cxDxfcpjq9ZKnH22pBUtvg7uKC4sgeXYbJH9-pbkqqc7-mYwF0KiXK7NI63EJ3sB1lZap9OHY1vyPc7i-xPIkRTZIMuzENit9FVwCNIDH4i8Y/s1600/IMG_20160914_145034+%25281%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Fall Sunflower seed bag with intricate tassel" border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwaz6G1Oghlops5r4gbqwu_BNlvNf1u6cxDxfcpjq9ZKnH22pBUtvg7uKC4sgeXYbJH9-pbkqqc7-mYwF0KiXK7NI63EJ3sB1lZap9OHY1vyPc7i-xPIkRTZIMuzENit9FVwCNIDH4i8Y/s320/IMG_20160914_145034+%25281%2529.jpg" title="" width="223" /></a></div>
<br />
As usual I didn't take a picture of the final project but what I really wanted to show you today is how to make the tassel.<br />
<br />
In order to make the tassel, you are going to start with 16 lengths of whatever string you are using. If you want a thicker tassel, use more lengths. Here I used kitchen twine. So the length of each piece of twine should be<br />
length of twine= (the length you want for the tassel)*2 + about 5" for the knot.<br />
We are going to be following this knot type (it is called the Josephine knot): <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKCWfrJilkm4ziDOdsU7FnNCUkuKbYwY-VqbEz6QaKNxB3XDyAukABkjVKYA-zRSNTSi7pl_4zzZ6c9k1Yrv-NLiF2nMu_9ZDg5w_PtxWs_CRiybGNbPQ4ktjjGC8KbWEJBoLZYep5xQ4/s1600/index.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKCWfrJilkm4ziDOdsU7FnNCUkuKbYwY-VqbEz6QaKNxB3XDyAukABkjVKYA-zRSNTSi7pl_4zzZ6c9k1Yrv-NLiF2nMu_9ZDg5w_PtxWs_CRiybGNbPQ4ktjjGC8KbWEJBoLZYep5xQ4/s640/index.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
So here is what it looks like when you are doing it with a group of strings as opposed to just one.<br />
<br />
So to start you will split the pieces of twine into two piles (group A is the top one and group B is the bottom one):<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaI6a2niaIiUO1duc0pXGDvpCSw1aKE4eIo9bE1oFNuJ4h6H_cYqfkLUsnQ6IeJ01Tr1NVndZzp8Ag8CQKR6OqO-eEt_VJFaoPFLex_3ztHjKi5UU4ONBdQ1AnRwJNvp1YidsB7XCTQn8/s1600/IMAG0007.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaI6a2niaIiUO1duc0pXGDvpCSw1aKE4eIo9bE1oFNuJ4h6H_cYqfkLUsnQ6IeJ01Tr1NVndZzp8Ag8CQKR6OqO-eEt_VJFaoPFLex_3ztHjKi5UU4ONBdQ1AnRwJNvp1YidsB7XCTQn8/s320/IMAG0007.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Then you will make a loop with group B: <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBxaOHPqzO05wAs1vLTKjdDzcTF0UJhtLYueG4Yb5R6uf4LrxCKzwvzL4m_JjEFfCuJ8i20VeTSP3grlDnNcdH-bh0VGWOfVux4IIioZB_KT2HsLC5RAlxJqqMuvER3GWRIR5Xns9m-ng/s1600/IMAG0008.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBxaOHPqzO05wAs1vLTKjdDzcTF0UJhtLYueG4Yb5R6uf4LrxCKzwvzL4m_JjEFfCuJ8i20VeTSP3grlDnNcdH-bh0VGWOfVux4IIioZB_KT2HsLC5RAlxJqqMuvER3GWRIR5Xns9m-ng/s320/IMAG0008.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Then you will put group A under both parts of the loop of group B. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY9eDULbE3t8Yvp4tjgjtpA9BD27RzyI3lH5bfl7iFhyphenhypheniOWEmaX1b41XgbaOEgqLL9ePZYNOiYGCeV3lBW3s7-fSpzRAi377vpc8z9GdMSnBNwwJgMRg0HZv9YB9SKEeZtMvKSlHAgDAs/s1600/IMAG0009.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY9eDULbE3t8Yvp4tjgjtpA9BD27RzyI3lH5bfl7iFhyphenhypheniOWEmaX1b41XgbaOEgqLL9ePZYNOiYGCeV3lBW3s7-fSpzRAi377vpc8z9GdMSnBNwwJgMRg0HZv9YB9SKEeZtMvKSlHAgDAs/s320/IMAG0009.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Then group A will go over top the right tail of group B.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBElxMMISbX6JOdkbR7LrzUaJvrU_zJYrHn2fKp9WdbTUz7iYN-0SJ28Otu33OOA1Qki_Uf71-BHwhMSrTGzK0RPBJh_ZxdlV6MmK1BOeaZeEna6WE-3FJjkZdbtPtF3D01QbdTHcVYYM/s1600/IMAG0010.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBElxMMISbX6JOdkbR7LrzUaJvrU_zJYrHn2fKp9WdbTUz7iYN-0SJ28Otu33OOA1Qki_Uf71-BHwhMSrTGzK0RPBJh_ZxdlV6MmK1BOeaZeEna6WE-3FJjkZdbtPtF3D01QbdTHcVYYM/s320/IMAG0010.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Then group A will go underneath the left tail of group B. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOjuWVkRX1Eh9BBxkYEZSAFTzAsNIZNbe-_StNHgMN-R34c7Us-jzbCiWtQh4hih9nAIG_JrMXrveIrhSconOUdWAvh3ndT3dtcFWH-y276qyIRyFpunNmX__gftpEC9fiJH3QWarrjPY/s1600/IMAG0011.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOjuWVkRX1Eh9BBxkYEZSAFTzAsNIZNbe-_StNHgMN-R34c7Us-jzbCiWtQh4hih9nAIG_JrMXrveIrhSconOUdWAvh3ndT3dtcFWH-y276qyIRyFpunNmX__gftpEC9fiJH3QWarrjPY/s320/IMAG0011.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
But you are going to put Group A over top of the Group B loop.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-iHi1_ksfrWkowc5OuFxBVXCCd6WknRBSpgZAxza7IzPPl3GZGlfjlH74MVgmET3rLWgvKz1eUkKm11rfHfov7QfdN9MfpM-BQsRy8lI91HYmQ1Ks2Q8B4StMdxCeMfXnW7jRn1nJA7w/s1600/IMAG0012.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-iHi1_ksfrWkowc5OuFxBVXCCd6WknRBSpgZAxza7IzPPl3GZGlfjlH74MVgmET3rLWgvKz1eUkKm11rfHfov7QfdN9MfpM-BQsRy8lI91HYmQ1Ks2Q8B4StMdxCeMfXnW7jRn1nJA7w/s320/IMAG0012.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Now this part is a little tricky as sometimes the strings go amok. What you are going to do is put the Group A string that is lying on top of the Group B loop, under the Group A beginning and then over the Group B top of loop.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDU2SGARPRCn-Gca25cwgt_tdppsXeTxmpxcRzt1ihQoDoMNSJhqHbHcA5xbeZ1ct53de6_93FcPYUw5ZyBOZdbGhuZFZp-ATnCF1GWulvHYr30BIG2lWCQnURBBya1l_IRF0b51-cFmI/s1600/IMAG0013.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDU2SGARPRCn-Gca25cwgt_tdppsXeTxmpxcRzt1ihQoDoMNSJhqHbHcA5xbeZ1ct53de6_93FcPYUw5ZyBOZdbGhuZFZp-ATnCF1GWulvHYr30BIG2lWCQnURBBya1l_IRF0b51-cFmI/s320/IMAG0013.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
You are going to tighten the knot by pulling a little bit on each end until the knot becomes a little tighter and eventually forms a tight knot with 4 even tails. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgv0Yv2e-PhIXkxo8SmsGsZJcNzkwDScfcwPJQkZ-_ttjmKgRVCt7zstAJYN5erQX0I0cniTfzHe1QDGQc5Z6naAVMFuHu0GTY_R-4xtCO3vI1g2zLZ9Y52YRHOefe3ff_TEkOzNjHoyF0/s1600/IMAG0014.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgv0Yv2e-PhIXkxo8SmsGsZJcNzkwDScfcwPJQkZ-_ttjmKgRVCt7zstAJYN5erQX0I0cniTfzHe1QDGQc5Z6naAVMFuHu0GTY_R-4xtCO3vI1g2zLZ9Y52YRHOefe3ff_TEkOzNjHoyF0/s320/IMAG0014.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
It will look something like this: <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinc84hCK_rgsdKqz5gASY-GeQTV-po2WG7PW0CYYhqxw7mbRPKPWGOxm7lBL8tO3g1uJcOqAG3CYUqTChtFdd1Jr96nuuSUl5ptzBFMix8a0RGY4R6UNJGxtC7Igg8jq_ucelrTMCmW10/s1600/IMAG0015.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinc84hCK_rgsdKqz5gASY-GeQTV-po2WG7PW0CYYhqxw7mbRPKPWGOxm7lBL8tO3g1uJcOqAG3CYUqTChtFdd1Jr96nuuSUl5ptzBFMix8a0RGY4R6UNJGxtC7Igg8jq_ucelrTMCmW10/s320/IMAG0015.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Now sometimes you get a rogue string that isn't sitting flat next to it's neighbours. I pull on each individual string in order to tighten the whole knot and make it look uniform. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmzY2Vl7EmhGy28HEitEO-zBfy7nmaYfPeRgEzsONOuTGPbSOwBpms-1862ybEvpiv7InEWKrhGizv4JQEoQ4vDLfa1hDaqEBXs7xe6vEJZj_JOhWNaD_YxW5Upr72jv3VliLyMUgi-Yg/s1600/IMAG0016.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmzY2Vl7EmhGy28HEitEO-zBfy7nmaYfPeRgEzsONOuTGPbSOwBpms-1862ybEvpiv7InEWKrhGizv4JQEoQ4vDLfa1hDaqEBXs7xe6vEJZj_JOhWNaD_YxW5Upr72jv3VliLyMUgi-Yg/s320/IMAG0016.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Tie the base of the head of the tassel and you have an intricate yet rustic tassel.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieQA_6yeS33rJRuMWcqZ-4NCX6PDcw61Gmwz1o8MW-1Klt96jVI2BqIajc-_GPC4xUH-U_AYDzlClFeb3FfVXq-SKpEjbtVgqU4XRhtfPYkRTWPqemBCxF1hJzPmZzD_SmjI9ANHQ-3Zo/s1600/IMAG0019.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieQA_6yeS33rJRuMWcqZ-4NCX6PDcw61Gmwz1o8MW-1Klt96jVI2BqIajc-_GPC4xUH-U_AYDzlClFeb3FfVXq-SKpEjbtVgqU4XRhtfPYkRTWPqemBCxF1hJzPmZzD_SmjI9ANHQ-3Zo/s320/IMAG0019.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>

So I am going to give you an idea of what it looks like.<br />
<br />
Here is the front:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJAoqxa4ZjethNlWRL_3C74zaZlS_ymTKon6oyVaZvrI3sp2_Twyi4KwHSz3jx8deH4vR16w5sU0Gew4umtUlPyjXm60cGxrQUTAMkDol-BYsPI83cuC-AH6A6XN_L4u8laEBJtn0j1LM/s1600/grandpa_front.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="228" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJAoqxa4ZjethNlWRL_3C74zaZlS_ymTKon6oyVaZvrI3sp2_Twyi4KwHSz3jx8deH4vR16w5sU0Gew4umtUlPyjXm60cGxrQUTAMkDol-BYsPI83cuC-AH6A6XN_L4u8laEBJtn0j1LM/s320/grandpa_front.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
The next part is a pop up with the Stanley Cup. I cut the Stanley Cup out of silver cardstock that I had, and included this phrase: "Is for the Maple Leafs to win the Stanley Cup"<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieVZ_D2F6hMWnIqLfAw_lt44D7Y7ywmpQ-z0OXr5FHT4cyhUIOc-szPPJyHu8fW3lylJHw-OyWPXPV__BWwW7Yy41ynT_Bnfz1mPw1UHKxIegZhB00I523LToCqRa64X1pUE6I1PqHLqo/s1600/stanley+cup.pcs_320x256.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieVZ_D2F6hMWnIqLfAw_lt44D7Y7ywmpQ-z0OXr5FHT4cyhUIOc-szPPJyHu8fW3lylJHw-OyWPXPV__BWwW7Yy41ynT_Bnfz1mPw1UHKxIegZhB00I523LToCqRa64X1pUE6I1PqHLqo/s1600/stanley+cup.pcs_320x256.png" /></a></div>
<br />
The last pop up page is a pop up of the picture of the titanic sinking and the phrase: "But we fear that they are too much like the titanic, they look great until they hit the ice. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwt8nrO9Ql619P9HEZFc6rHVWmA7Dh1aO37gFDcT7KHKO72Rxkt6Jk9n2evnyS62msOjegnw0yrCOapCAEzFIH2Pe2v1fNWNTMp-V_mEmE-xvVI5IYNgs_ZzQKFU4J-ZUriQmWoGRFMAQ/s1600/titanic.pcs_320x256.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwt8nrO9Ql619P9HEZFc6rHVWmA7Dh1aO37gFDcT7KHKO72Rxkt6Jk9n2evnyS62msOjegnw0yrCOapCAEzFIH2Pe2v1fNWNTMp-V_mEmE-xvVI5IYNgs_ZzQKFU4J-ZUriQmWoGRFMAQ/s1600/titanic.pcs_320x256.png" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This is a fun gift card holder with a starbucks front. The font is Babes in Toyland. There are two side flaps that get glued onto one another and then the bottom flap goes on top of those (to allow the gift card insert to insert and remove easily)<br />

I made this very awesome card for my husband for his birthday. The front of the card looks like this: </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For those of you who are not pokemon-literate, this is an Onix. So the front says "Have an Onix-pected birthday". The font is pocket monk (if you need to change the words). The key to the pokemon alphabet is that the vowels are small letters and are on tope of the letters around them. So the colours of the letters are: yellow (255,203,0), dark blue (0,58,146), and light blue (129,200,254). Outline each of the yellow letters individually in the dark blue and then make the dark blue outline around the vowels go above the yellow of the letters around it. Here is the SVG of the front: <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxY0fZP9AERET1J5MmVzYWMzWms/view?usp=sharing">SVG of the front of the card</a></div>

This is the inside of the card. It is a stacked block pop up card. So print out the card to show the pokemon go background and then cut it out. Here is the SVG: <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxY0fZP9AEREWUhEWm50ZDlKZ2c/view?usp=sharing">SVG of the inside of the card</a></div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
This is the cool part. Each of these blocks in the pop up card will have a pokeball stuck to the front of it. The pokeballs are an envelope that will contain a pokemon. In this file I have included koffing, pikachu, dragonite, eevee, gyrados, vaporeon, and snorlax. Some of my husbands favourite pokemon. Feel free to change the pokemon (google has all the pictures). The pokeballs go together very simply. The two black flaps fold over behind the front of the pokeball. I then taped it from the bottom (or the top) so that the pokemon stayed inside. Then I glued the pokeball bottoms (the black and white part) to the top of the pop up block. If you want to get fancy I thought a hinge at the corner would look better than the envelope. So this SVG is a print and cut. Let me know if the cuts are off for you. I have an outline around my pokeballs because it looks better in MTC, if that doesn't work for you let me know. Here is the SVG of the pokeballs: <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxY0fZP9AERELVR3WFNVNmVjWlU/view?usp=sharing">SVG of the pokeball file</a> </div>

A pop up baby card with a double slider front. No one ever said I was a simple girl or that I embraced simplicity. I made this card for a very dear friend of ours that just had a baby. Here is a video of the pop up card in action:<br />
<br />
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/owXOGn0x2eY" width="560"></iframe>
<br />
So the file is pretty detailed but essentially, the front part of the card is composed of a double slider base (MTC file front_base page) and then a print and cut page (front_pull_out page) is made of items that go onto the double pull out. Here is a instructional of how to do a double slider by Beccy: http://beccysplace.blogspot.ca/2015/04/tutorial-double-slider-card.html<br />
<br />
Then the inside of the card is a pop up card with a swing on it. The first page in the MTC file is the pop up card. Then the second page is all of the complementary pieces. There is a picture window, a wood floor with a rug and a pink wallpaper and then of course the swinging bassinet. There are pieces that match the wallpaper that go on the pop up tabs. It is all print and cut with a bit of gluing down.<br />
<br />
Note: I did not put fold lines at the bottom of the chair or the dresser because it was such a tiny attachment.<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe width="320" height="266" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/f5KrUdCYd6w/0.jpg" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/f5KrUdCYd6w?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></div>
<br />
<br />
So I decided to make my own with a nativity scene. Here is what mine looks like:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJ0VyXMe21jwyxxOcOeC-vwjsJDdOeiJWaguANAWjxNKYURZVM8tADAueu7n4UywYpTLHYS-WdDgDALPyoxBg2WD5XaUCsZGKHkgbuLcC3fdvLPcjkEiIOYQDiUdfIZjUsfILyoXMvPW8/s1600/2015-11-29+05.24.43.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJ0VyXMe21jwyxxOcOeC-vwjsJDdOeiJWaguANAWjxNKYURZVM8tADAueu7n4UywYpTLHYS-WdDgDALPyoxBg2WD5XaUCsZGKHkgbuLcC3fdvLPcjkEiIOYQDiUdfIZjUsfILyoXMvPW8/s400/2015-11-29+05.24.43.jpg"></a></div>
<br />
Here is a video of it working:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe width="320" height="266" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/R_I62ienhQc/0.jpg" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/R_I62ienhQc?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></div>
<br />
<br />
I am going to pretty it up today (if I have the energy).<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img src="https://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54487/225/A50D681D1D55547D023F48DD97121716.png" style="background: transparent; border: 0 !important;"></a>Connie Walshhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16040034443479045710noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3443946523102586517.post-46943332637856379442016-10-02T19:19:00.003-07:002016-10-02T19:19:53.263-07:00Gifts for the AA groups meeting at our churchAt Christmas our church tries to do something special for the AA groups that meet in our meeting rooms. We bring them cookies. Woot!! Who don't like cookies. Me like cookies. C is for cookie that good enough for me.<br />
<br />
Whoops sort of lost track of my thoughts. Well we make them a package and this year I added a craft to each package. I made verse boxes. Here is one of them:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6bgx9aH-453ILqW0QHr5BLkOiBsqWnl64QwECxkR37d4jUSz7keBICF3sbMPsSVdqCQNr2BqXywQgVcHuV0xdMQCmLg42MX1FRINauvh5F-OoIX5TRYt7Wlf5v5NSTIlNQsXMXj6Yf6Q/s1600/2015-11-09+14.47.07.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6bgx9aH-453ILqW0QHr5BLkOiBsqWnl64QwECxkR37d4jUSz7keBICF3sbMPsSVdqCQNr2BqXywQgVcHuV0xdMQCmLg42MX1FRINauvh5F-OoIX5TRYt7Wlf5v5NSTIlNQsXMXj6Yf6Q/s320/2015-11-09+14.47.07.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
So each of the boxes holds about 30 cards. On the front of each card is a saying that I found from an AA inspiration page. Here are some of these quotes:<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
And then I picked bible quotes that echoed these thoughts, like this:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<br />
The little folders have an accordion side that allows you to put your favorite verses up front:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOxE-WeMw59cYjl1Gk0aXSoaSdlV6Tjd2unr9QZPYL1cwcmgPGhi1yDD_0t49ryio08_pWeP9zlcMXA7iWDU0UMghTRm8t1WbYUe2ArKOpEkEt8bW5yD-tgOT2Dmeopvu2NxquvOHikNw/s1600/2015-11-09+14.49.34.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOxE-WeMw59cYjl1Gk0aXSoaSdlV6Tjd2unr9QZPYL1cwcmgPGhi1yDD_0t49ryio08_pWeP9zlcMXA7iWDU0UMghTRm8t1WbYUe2ArKOpEkEt8bW5yD-tgOT2Dmeopvu2NxquvOHikNw/s320/2015-11-09+14.49.34.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
And they have the cutest little snaps to close them. They are snaps for baby clothes and when you add them to paper that has been laminated they provide a nice strong closure. You can see a packet of snaps in the bucket behind the verses.<br />
<br />
Here is the tutorial for making the folders.<br />
<br />
<ol><a href="http://g02.a.alicdn.com/kf/UT82xqwXkRXXXagOFbXd/118850848/UT82xqwXkRXXXagOFbXd.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a>
<li>Download the MTC file (<a href="https://www.dropbox.com/s/qddoqh5meedotmc/verse_box_share.mtc?dl=0">verse_box_share.mtc</a>). And cut out one of each of the three shapes. In the file they are on different pages (box, trim, trim3) and they look like the shapes on the left. I wanted colours that looked nice together so I invited over my colour consultants (who are the most wonderful people and good friends to boot) to pic the colours out. I think they chose about 20 different combinations. The main part of the folder was usually cut out of 12x12 patterned cardstock and then the trim was a complementary colour.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOc76uc8tP_fZNhY69ocUeMKE6_8pRX6_WM45LEb2-Q72oCr96A_2yXM4o-b1mqRnKDMzR1ke2Z2XZ1654i2_7MOMII1P6bml_kBGsJyClMYHD8R2q8ag5r-EQbIr8ODFIuiiDVeW-MkY/s1600/3_shapes.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="268" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOc76uc8tP_fZNhY69ocUeMKE6_8pRX6_WM45LEb2-Q72oCr96A_2yXM4o-b1mqRnKDMzR1ke2Z2XZ1654i2_7MOMII1P6bml_kBGsJyClMYHD8R2q8ag5r-EQbIr8ODFIuiiDVeW-MkY/s320/3_shapes.png" width="320" /></a></li>
<li>Fold all the perforated sections before you laminate in order to make the folding after laminating easier. </li>
<li> Then the next step was to laminate the folder with the trim in place. I did this by cutting a laminate folder to the width of the main part of the folder. With a tiny bit of glue to hold the trim in the right place. The pieces look like this going into the laminator. The laminating sheet only covers the patterned area of the folder. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLJu6UFf1ieUIWVdf6RHC0twvyYFja-oZ5sanELcMe94vOQ5KaB6Teq-3C0l4jsVAeinWNSHW8yEonn3AsrPzEFGYmXZwlojshC-5cbH6RBsK11ZCmbh0FzPkBR0v_lYFXuxxRZyd3dMo/s1600/placement.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="208" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLJu6UFf1ieUIWVdf6RHC0twvyYFja-oZ5sanELcMe94vOQ5KaB6Teq-3C0l4jsVAeinWNSHW8yEonn3AsrPzEFGYmXZwlojshC-5cbH6RBsK11ZCmbh0FzPkBR0v_lYFXuxxRZyd3dMo/s320/placement.png" width="320" /> </a></li>
<li>Once it is laminated, refold the perforated lines on the folder. I used my Martha Stewart scoring board but any method will work. </li>
<li>Then you are going to add the snaps to the top and bottom of the folder. The snaps I borrowed from a friend and they are the KAM snaps. There are 3 different pieces and they look like this the below picture. A and B are different sides of the same piece. So at the rounded end of the folder you will attach the A/B piece to the Pin piece with the A side showing against the patterned paper. And at the square end of the folder you would attach the A/B piece to the Box piece. IMPORTANT: the square end of the folder has the box piece showing against the patterned paper<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEpUqj8Onhy2f3TuIQ3s3J19wqhM-DxbKt93fYjvmgsT9lX9j4vdZDtt2pwgjqhX_iN7_4SSoNXPmmOPzCP2seC5WdBAW_3MGUvZ90a1ASypnOVS0iqnZG4QY1zhYNEDU2H5C9inBo5fQ/s1600/snaps.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEpUqj8Onhy2f3TuIQ3s3J19wqhM-DxbKt93fYjvmgsT9lX9j4vdZDtt2pwgjqhX_iN7_4SSoNXPmmOPzCP2seC5WdBAW_3MGUvZ90a1ASypnOVS0iqnZG4QY1zhYNEDU2H5C9inBo5fQ/s400/snaps.png" width="400" /></a></div>
</li>
<li><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiC0b00P1AfZYG_ZomgAB_828lmzEeg15OETDmEwj1o_decv7rrB51P282c2ExyBVqIt_CJ8jUdvd_6GsZQNyRTPgvw4aq1goFUiNXyY2vImTVZGh0_JzWpZDYlakvM1E_gVQRwWl4XEs/s1600/snaps.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"> </a>Now comes the fun part. I know it all seems so much fun so far!! I think I put together 120 of these babies and it gets easier as you go. So you are going to fold the tabs up. The tabs that are rounded (kind of looks like a bracket ) you will fold back and forth inward on the folder until it looks like this: <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh1PgFu5vZP1t4DXrp8itMYmFpHfEktU8DX249ji975zeELmtqUGDwVVJSZMXoUNw0ckKVLwpsxMRwx3Uyo_3sOugBrYIvJlBpmQdERBXzJUBNDjTHIfM1Z3WMwcPCGcppDmxP_iLLjco/s1600/2015-12-30+10.31.01.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="179" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh1PgFu5vZP1t4DXrp8itMYmFpHfEktU8DX249ji975zeELmtqUGDwVVJSZMXoUNw0ckKVLwpsxMRwx3Uyo_3sOugBrYIvJlBpmQdERBXzJUBNDjTHIfM1Z3WMwcPCGcppDmxP_iLLjco/s320/2015-12-30+10.31.01.jpg" width="320" /></a></li>
<li>The last step is to attach the tabs together with glue and tabs. Here is a poor video to show you how. https://youtu.be/4JZKairJYo4 <iframe allowfullscreen="" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/4JZKairJYo4/0.jpg" frameborder="0" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/4JZKairJYo4?feature=player_embedded" width="320"></iframe></li>
<li>And le voile. Et fini.</li>
